HOKA is bringing back one of its cult trail silhouettes this season, with the Speedgoat 2 returning in two new colourways.

Originally created for the trails, the Speedgoat 2 returns in Alabaster / Outer Orbit and Pebble Grey / Cliff Grey, with HOKA positioning the silhouette for everyday exploration. The new release retains the shoe’s original character while giving it a more lifestyle-focused direction.

The Speedgoat 2 features an engineered mesh upper, protective overlays, reflective webbing and the original throwback Speedgoat and HOKA logos. Underneath, the Vibram Megagrip outsole and CMEVA cushioning remain, preserving the technical credentials that made the silhouette a favourite in the first place.

For its return, HOKA has enlisted Grammy-nominated artist Smino to front “Full Speed”, a new campaign built around movement, rhythm and individuality.

The imagery brings dirt bikes into the picture, with Smino and the riders moving between trail, street and stage. It is a suitably energetic setting for the Speedgoat 2, while Smino brings the music and fashion connection that HOKA is looking for with the new campaign.

“I’ve always been about moving at my own frequency. To me, style is just another way to express that energy,” says Smino.

The partnership feels particularly fitting given Smino’s own approach to style. He has a distinctive way of moving between music and fashion without looking as though either one has been added as an afterthought, making him a natural match for HOKA’s attempt to bring one of its performance silhouettes into a broader lifestyle wardrobe.

The new Speedgoat 2 is priced at S$249 and is available in Alabaster / Outer Orbit and Pebble Grey / Cliff Grey at HOKA ION, Raffles City and Dover Street Market Singapore.
